We process personal data to different extents and for different purposes, as detailed in Articles 1 and 2 above, either:

  • Without your consent based on the performance of a contract, the performance of a legal obligation or our legitimate interests;
  • Based on your consent.

The types of processing that we may carry out without your consent depend on the stated purpose of the processing and the position in which you are acting towards us - whether you are simply a visitor to our website, whether you make a purchase or register with us. However, your personal data may also be processed if you are the recipient of the goods or services you order, if you communicate with us or if you visit our shop.

Fulfillment of the Purchase Contract

If you make a purchase with us, or send an order, a proposal for a purchase contract is created, which is concluded by our acceptance of the proposal in the form of sending the ordered goods. However, in order for us to be able to successfully fulfil this purchase contract or any other contract for goods or services, we need a large amount of your personal data entered via the order form. The specific data that we process in this case is set out in Article 1, paragraphs a) and d).

Fulfilling legal obligations

We also have to fulfil certain obligations imposed on us by applicable law. If we process your personal data to comply with these obligations, we do not need to obtain your consent for such processing. On this legal basis, we specifically process your identification and contact data as well as your order data. The specific data that we process in this case is set out in Article 1, paragraph a).

Consent

For the purpose of sending you commercial communications via email, we may process your personal data on the basis of your consent. We also ask for your consent if you plan to post a review of the purchased goods, comment on the blog or set up availability monitoring. Even in these cases, you can of course withdraw your consent at any time. The specific data that we process in this case are listed in Article 1, paragraphs c) and f).

Legitimate interest

We also process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest in order to improve and adapt the services provided, to determine whether the order has been processed to your satisfaction and to promote the products and services offered more effectively. This includes in particular the data referred to in Article 1, paragraphs c) and d).

We may also send you commercial communications about similar products to those you have purchased from us on the basis of a legitimate interest in direct marketing. However, this is only on the condition that you do not object to such processing. The specific data that we process in this case is set out in Article 1, paragraph b).

We also have a legitimate interest in the protection of legal claims, internal records and the control of the proper provision of our services. In this case, we process all categories of personal data referred to in Article 1.

Our legitimate interest also lies in sending a request for an evaluation of the purchase made via the selected evaluation portal. The specific data that we process in this case are specified in Article 1, paragraph g).

The processing of your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest also takes place when you visit our premises, which are monitored by CCTV for the protection of property. You can object to this processing at any time. The specific data that we process in this case are listed in Article 1, paragraph e).

To whom do we transfer personal data?

In most cases, we process your personal data for our own purposes as the data controller, which means that we determine the purposes set out above for the collection of your personal data, the determination of the means of processing and their proper execution.

We only transfer your personal data to our partners if this is necessary for the performance of the purchase contract, e.g. to arrange payment or transport; furthermore, on the basis of legitimate interest or if you have given your prior consent to the transfer.

We also transfer your personal data to our processors, who, of course, comply with the legal data protection conditions. These processors process the personal data according to our instructions and your rights are not affected by this processing. With your consent, we may also transfer your personal data to social networks or operators of marketing tools to display targeted advertising on other websites.

Transfer of data outside the EU

When transferring your personal data to our processors, we may in some cases also transfer personal data to third countries that are not part of the European Union and that do not provide an adequate level of protection for personal data. However, such transfers will only be made by us if our processor undertakes to comply with the standard contractual clauses issued by the European Commission, which are available here.

For how long do we process personal data and how is it secured?

Processing time

We primarily process your personal data for the duration of our contractual relationship, i.e. the purchase contract. We are obliged to process personal data that are necessary for the performance of all our obligations, whether these are obligations arising solely from the contract concluded between us or from generally binding legal regulations, for the period of time stipulated by or in accordance with these legal regulations. For example, in the case of accounting documents issued by us, we, as the controller, are obliged to keep information about you for at least 10 years from the date of issue.

In order to fulfill your requests and provide quality customer service, we process your personal data until the conclusion of our contractual relationship, including 1 year after the end of the warranty period of the purchased goods in order to resolve potential disputes.

If you communicate with us through our customer service, we keep personal data from the communication for 2 years, including call recordings, which are monitored.

If you give us your consent to receive commercial communications, this consent is valid for a period of 4 years or until revoked. Similarly, if you give us your consent to notify you of the availability of the goods you are viewing, this consent is valid until we send you the availability information, but for no longer than 1 year or until it is withdrawn. Consent given by submitting your review of an item is valid for 6 years or until revoked. If you create content within our blog posts, consent granted by submitting your comment on such post is valid for 2 years or until revoked.

In other cases, the duration of the processing of your personal data results from the purpose of the processing or is determined by binding data protection legislation. After the expiry of the specified processing periods, your personal data is automatically deleted.

Security

The personal data we collect and process about you is transmitted to us in an encrypted form, using the SSL (secure socket layer) encryption system. This system ensures that your personal data is safe when your browser communicates with our server. We secure our website and other systems we work with by using appropriate technical and organisational measures against the loss and destruction of your personal data, as well as against unauthorised access to, alteration or dissemination of your personal data.

We are continuously improving this security and we also require our processors to demonstrate that their systems comply with the GDPR.

If you register, your customer account can only be accessed by entering your chosen password. We do not have access to your password as we store it in encrypted form, which is not reversibly decryptable, even by us.

We would like to urge you, among other things, that it is essential that you do not disclose your login details to third parties. We recommend that you log out of your customer account when you have finished your activity, especially if you share the device with other users. We do not accept responsibility for any misuse of your password unless we have directly caused the situation.

In order for us to use cookies, they need to be supported by the internet browser you are using. Our website works without cookies, but to a very limited extent with the inability to use some basic functions.

Cookies are a standard tool for storing information relating to the use of a website.

  • Analytical to help us improve the user experience of our website by understanding how users use it. They also allow us to analyse the performance of different sales channels;

  • To best tailor our website to your needs by tracking your traffic, your movement around the website and the features you use;
  • Knowing what ads you are viewing so that we don't show you ads for products you are not interested in in the future.

Some cookies, including their content, may collect information that may subsequently be used by third parties and which, for example, directly support our advertising activities ("third party cookies"). For example, information about products purchased on our website may be displayed by an advertising agency in the context of displaying and customising advertising banners on the websites you view. However, these cookies are in an anonymised form for third parties and you cannot be identified from this data.

How can you restrict cookies?

The setting of cookies is part of the internet browser you use, and most browsers automatically accept cookies by default. You can refuse cookies completely or limit them to the types you select via your browser. However, this will also restrict the functioning of our website and you will not be able to use the full range of functions offered by us, including logging into your customer account.
